CAMWorks 4 & 5 AXIS

TRAINING AGENDA

Lesson Agenda
Lesson 1: Introduction to CAMWorks 4/5 Axis Programming - Lesson 1 will introduce the benefits of 5 axis and the types of machines and kinematics that exist. Various principles will be covered and you will learn the process for creating and post processing 4/5 axis tool paths.

Lesson 2: 3+2 Axis Programming, 3 to 5 Axis Conversion, and Wrapped Features - Lesson 2 will build up from your experience of 2.5D and 3D milling by using these operations in 5 axis positionally. From here we look at converting 3D toolpaths to simultaneous 5 axis and finally on how we can machine wrapped geometry.

Lesson 3: Multi Surface Features for Multi Axis Operations - Lesson 3 looks to show you the procedure of selecting geometry for multi axis work with ease. From different techniques for picking geometry, to controlling how many axes to use. This lesson also shows helpful SOLIDWORKS surfacing practices to make the most out of your machining capability.

Lesson 4: Multi Axis Operation Parameters - Lesson 4 will outline the general workflow that is done in CAMWorks as well as understand the best parameters to use as well as having a basic understanding of axis control parameters.

Lesson 5: Multi Axis Operations - Lesson 5 looks how we can look at use specific toolpaths to better cut geometry in specific applications such as ports, impellors and trimming as well as gouge checking to move the tool.

Lesson 6: Multi Axis Roughing - Lesson 6 takes the user through roughing in simultaneous 5 axis. From here users will be able to use multiaxis roughing on a variety of geometries.

Lesson 7: Swarf Machining - Lesson 7 shows the customer how to finish components of different varieties using the side of the cutter rather than the endpoint, allowing bigger depths of cut for finishing.

Lesson 8: 5 Axis Drilling - Lesson 8 works through how to drill holes on multiple angles and multi surfaces quickly.
