I've been regularly using SW since 2007 as an Industrial Designer and know my way around the Software. Yet, Tom, our trainer, did a fantastic job at answering all of my questions, refreshing my memory on less frequently used features, and keeping the course engaging through his open and entertaining personality.

Was taught the course by Franklin. He was really good and that was probably one of the best courses i've been taught in Solidsolutions. I liked the speed the course was being taught and the fact that there were no issuesduring the exercises. Allthough the information was quite condensed as with most 2-day courses but I understand that pottentially 3 days would be too much.

The surfacing course was really good. I had a base knowledge of surfacing modelling and feel this course really helped me understand the benefits of surfacing over conventional modelling. I was sceptical about Joe to begin with as he was a placement student, but his knowledge and understanding of Solidworks was very good. I would recommend the course to people that have used surface modelling before and want to further their knowledge, I feel like it would be a lot to take in as a beginner.

Ashley was very knowledgeable and was an expert in solid works, the day ran smoothly and he was very accommodating for our requests, I learnt lots and he gave a very good and concise introduction to surface modelling, whilst also answering some questions from the class, if i had any issues with the exercises he would be able to answer my questions or show me how to solve, then explain my issue.

Would answer all the questions well. If he ever didn't know an answer to a question, he would get back to us the next day with an example. Was fun and engaging. He was able to explain the reasons for why you should complete a model in a certain way - better than the descriptions in the book

Clearly very knowledgeable, but he lacked the fine tuning that other presenters have in that he often went his own way away from the training book and often stumbled across problems, or the result was not what he expected. He seemed a little bit new to the training material.
Finally, he never approached a new topic or subject with an introduction as to what we were about to do or what we were expecting to achieve. We simply followed with the case study and discovered what was meant to happen when it happened, without really understanding the process on how we got there. Again a sign of not being familiar and confident with the coursework.
This was a bit different from other presenters and I felt not as good.

Surface modeling course.

I had originally planned for a classroom session, however, this wasn't available.
My internet is brilliant but their DRC system was sound, no issues there.

The content covered was clear and there were some extra bits to do afterward that have helped refresh me - The next day I was implementing what I had learned.

I had 1 to 1 training the entire time with Jon, he was a knowledgeable instructor and was available for any and all questions, including those outside the scope of the course.

I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn surface modeling.

No issues with his knowledge of Solidworks however, his tone and the way he spoke to me and the other customers was patronising. I believe this lead to one of the customers going through the book himself at different times in a totally different sections. I didn't feel as though he was approachable and though you could ask him questions without feeling a hinderance. Not ideal for learning.

The content of the training was really good, there were quite a few technical hiccoughs with connecting to remote machines at the beginning of the training and some users lost their connection throughout the 2 days. Overall the content was really good, but the end of the second day felt rushed and we went over time. Perhaps more could be covered earlier in the session to leave time for the more complex exercises at the end
