Why SOLIDWORKS Essentials?
The SOLIDWORKS Essentials course is recommended to anyone new to SOLIDWORKS. Whether you have migrated from 2D CAD, another 3D system, or have no experience with CAD at all this course is suitable for you.

Starting from the very basics of the program, the course develops looking at modelling essentials required for day to day use of the software, right through to some advanced topics for automating designs. Part and Assembly modelling and also the 2D drawing environment are introduced during this course.

PREREQUISITES
  • Experience navigating around the Windows Operating System
  • Getting Started Tutorials- (Help > SOLIDWORKS Tutorials)

Saeed was a very well informed trainer who ran the course at very good pace that enabled the course to flow well across the 4 days but also allowed any questions to be asked if required. He was also excellent at troubleshooting during the exercises when required.

From enquiring about buying a perpetual licence to attending the 4 day essentials course, I have been thouroughly impressed with the level of support. There seems to be no such thing as a a stupid question, which is reassuring to a noob. My install didn't quite work first time, so someone took over my laptop and put it all to rights.

The training was great fun and everyone on our course had differing experience, comfort zones and weaknesses. Sam made a fantastic job of guiding us all through a very dense syllabus and made sure we got the salient points without patronising. Sam is a skilled teacher.

Having to fund my solidworks journey personally, it might be a little while before I come back for more, but I certainly will. The CAM packages are very interesting.

To the whole team at Solid Solutions: thanks guys, I really appreciate it.

Elizabeth was excellent. Very knowledgeable, approachable, adaptable and professional. The group I was in had a mixture of skills and abilities, but at no point did I feel I was being left behind.
I could freely ask questions, confident that I would not feel stupid, and that Elizabeth would answer any questions I threw at her thoroughly and in a way that best suited my understanding.
I had a few technical issues on one of the days (virtual classroom), but Elizabeth ensured I did not miss any learning, and offered to run through lessons again to ensure I gained the most from the course. Could not have asked for a better teacher!
