The Company:
RDD+ is an international R&D company specialising in new product development in the power tools and hardware sectors, working from initial research through to factory implementation and the point of sale. We work closely with our A brand and OEM clients in the effective creation of innovative new products across full ranges or one off items, focussed on outstanding engineering and Industrial design, generating new and robust IP, and effectively managing implementation into manufacturing in China. We are located in York, UK and Shanghai, China, our unique multinational team has a long track record in delivering new product programs that have added significantly to the bottom line of many companies around the world over the last 20 years.
The Role:
Working closely with the Project Director on the planning and execution of new product development projects. Integrating within a highly motivated and self-disciplined team of product and industrial designers to provide market leading functional concept solutions with detail and integrity.
The typical tasks associated with the role will include, idea generation, proof of principal Cad modelling and prototyping; appearance and fully functional appearance modelling; Generation of unique IP; assistance with pre-sales presentations; liaison with manufacturers; commissioning preproduction product samples; assistance with technical authoring of product support documentation and Pre-certification compliance.
