Company:
Animal Dynamics is a spinout company from the Department of Zoology at the University of
Oxford. The company is looking to establish a portfolio of bio inspired world class products
with ground breaking product design. Significant interest has been generated with a number
of large organisations which now requires Animal Dynamics to establish a team of Engineers
to support work across numerous projects. A number of positions exist for high calibre
Engineers to join the team and help realise the company’s exciting plans.

Role & Responsibility:
Engineers are required to lead, own and manage all aspects of Computer Aided Design,
generating schemes, detailed models, assembly models, as well as detail, sub assembly and
assembly drawings to enable procurement, manufacturing and assembly of development
and prototype products. Revision control, drawing release process and creation of Bills of
Materials are also required tasks. A practical, hands on approach is needed to ensure
successful product development. The Engineer will have ownership of designs from initial
generation of ideas to assembly and testing of hardware. The role would suit an Engineer
with an open and creative mind.
Your Experience / Skills
Requirements:
The following requisites are mandatory for the role.
• Engineering graduate (minimum upper second class degree)
• 2 to 5 years post graduate experience
• Highly proficient CAD skills (SolidWorks) – must understand sound modelling
techniques required to create stable models and assemblies
• Experience of creating Kinematic assemblies and animations
• Experience of creating and working with parametric models
• Experience through application of Limits & Fits
• Experience through application of Geometrical Tolerances
• Good knowledge of Surface Engineering including material selection, material
treatments, surface coatings and finishes
• Product design and development experience
• UK National

Preferences:
The following skills would be preferred and give applicants an advantage.
• Experience of FEA packages
• Composites design experience
• Experience of designing mechanisms
• Surfacing experience

Qualification:

• Engineering graduate (minimum upper second class degree)
• 2 to 5 years post graduate experience
• Highly proficient in SolidWorks

Salary Range:
Dependant on applicants qualifications, skills and experience
