Description
An enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated person is required for a Knowledge Transfer project between JONIC ENGINEERING LTD and Coventry University. KEEN projects enable recently qualified graduates (Affiliates) to work within West Midlands businesses managing challenging projects and delivering real benefits to the participating companies.

These Knowledge Transfer roles will also provide you with:

This project has received financial support from the Knowledge Exchange & Enterprise Network programme (KEEN) which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

This KEEN project is an exciting & innovative opportunity. The project is to refine the design and establish its safe operating boundaries of the design by the use of FEA analysis (Solid Works) backed up by physical testing. Adapt the design for other key users across Europe and sell the product into that market. The project will also seek to apply this design to some existing products and carry out a full industrial engineering project to ensure the manufacturing processes are optimised to obtain the most cost effective methods.

Qualification:

The Affiliate must have a B.Eng Degree preferably with and interest or experience in Hydraulics. It would be a great advantage to have knowledge of Solid Works with FEA and some experience in practical Industrial Engineering exercises.

The successful applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to staff at all levels requiring a high standard of both verbal and written English. S/he must be a highly motivated individual and able to demonstrate a capacity for analytical & innovative thinking, and must be a U.K./EU national, or have a current up-to-date work visa.
