Kinley Raaft

We have an exciting opportunity for a draftsperson to join our design team here at Kinley Raaft. Raaft is a family owned business with a mission to make outstanding terraces, through creative, versatile systems.

Hours of work are 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Your role will be to design and deal with projects from general assembly level right the way through to manufacture.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Using SolidWorks, you will be responsible for designing projects


• To create and convert customer drawings from 2D into 3D models for approval to clients


• To create a set of manufacture drawings suitable for our fabrication team


• To follow Raaft design processes


• To ensure the projects are always with-in the quoted specification


• Responsible for hitting the time frames allowed for the project


• Following client’s specifications for design portal uploads

You will need:

• Solidworks certified - Skills across the programme required including sheet metal and weldments – Ideally 2+ years’ experience


• 2D drawing experience is required


• Ability to use and work from 2D packages


• Strong technical, mechanical, and mathematical ability


• Knowledge of Microsoft Packages


• Good standard of education


• Excellent communication skills


• Excellent standard of written and spoken English


• Full valid UK driving licence required - due to location of business
