Description

A need has arisen to add further support to our design and engineering team, if you are an ambitious person looking to join an innovative fast-growing company this position could be what you are looking for. The company supplies high-specification process machinery to the food, pharmaceutical and additive manufacturing industries.


The role will involve developing and maintaining the company’s machine designs, duties will include 3D detailing, preparation of manufacturing drawings, creating bills of material for projects. You will be working in the engineering team at our offices in Basingstoke where you will see projects through from start to finish. You will need to be flexible in your approach, with an eye for detail, understand the importance for standardised procedures and have a desire to identify and implement improvements.


This is a demanding role where applicants must be organised and accurate in their work, whilst able to meet tight deadlines.


You will need to rapidly integrate with the existing team and immediate high levels of performance will be required. An excellent knowledge of SOLIDWORKS, MS365 and ERP is essential and experience in an engineering environment is required. You will need to be well presented, and have good communication skills, for both customer facing liaison and across internal departments.


Responsibilities



  • Create customer specific CAD designs, drawings & Bills of Materials

  • Providing design & engineering input into new and current machine designs.

  • Working with the team to standardise the machinery ranges and drawing packages.

  • Investigating and resolving queries, from suppliers and customers.

  • Liaising with internal and external staff.

  • Visiting customer sites across the world.

  • Assisting and attending product tests.

  • Manage a daily task routine to agreed times.

  • General duties and ad-hoc work as required.

Your Experience / Skills
2-3 years within an engineering design environment

Qualification:

The following requirements are essential:



  • Experience of using Solidworks & PDM.

  • Aspiration to progress and grow within an organisation.

  • Knowledge of the Process and/or Engineering industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload.

  • Excellent PC skills including MS365 & ERP.


The following requirements are desirable:



  • DriveWorks experience.

  • Basic coding.


Educational requirements



  • Engineering degree qualification.

  • + 2 years full time experience in an engineering environment

Salary Range:
£34,000-36,000pa
