On Monday 23rd June 2014 SOLIDWORKS released the fourth service pack in the 2014 cycle. In this post we advise how you can download this latest update for the 2014 release.

On Monday 23rd June 2014 SOLIDWORKS released the fourth service pack in the 2014 cycle.

This can be downloaded either from the Customer Portal or via the Installation Manager from START-ALL PROGRAMS-"SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager"

However at SoldSolutions we are making this far easier for our customers by hosting the SOLIDWORKS 2014 SP4 Installation manager on our website - you'll find a direct download link a http://www.solidsolutions.ie/solidworks-Support/Software-Updates/default.aspxv

Please plan ahead for the service pack deployment like you would with a usual installation. Ensure you have backup of your SOLIDWORKS settings and key files. Also you must ensure you deploy the installation under an unrestricted Administrator account to prevent problems during the install. If you have colleagues that use SOLIDWORKS as well, service packs should be rolled out when the software is not in use by anyone otherwise you may find certain shared files (such as Toolbox) interrupt the installation and cause failures.
