The Opportunity
Due to the growth in customer demand for our PDM expertise, we have opportunities for the expansion of the PDM team. These roles will work under the guidance of Graham Keating, PDM Product Manager and Wayne Marshall, Professional Service Manager. Location is flexible to be based from any of our UK offices.

If successful you will be working within a team of PDM Specialists where you will be providing pre and post-sales consultancy services to support successful SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional implementations, training and technical support within our Customer base.

Initially a Post-Sales role you may also get involved in pre-sales discovery sessions, software demonstrations and ultimately specifying the solutions that you will deliver and support.

Job Description
  • You will be working with our Customers to define and deliver SOLIDWORKS PDM based solutions on time and within budget, whilst ensuring the maximum levels of Customer satisfaction. Beyond software configuration, this may also involve the specification, development, testing and delivery of custom add-ins using the PDM and SOLIDWORKS API’s.
  • You will provide our Customers the highest quality technical support on queries relating to SOLIDWORKS PDM and its associated infrastructure, troubleshooting to find the optimal solution via the telephone, email or ‘one to one’ using collaborative Internet support services.
  • You will actively contribute to the creation and delivery of on-line content such as Blogs, Technical Documents and Webcasts.
  • You may also be asked to deliver classroom, and occasionally, on premise, training to customers on the use and administration of SOLIDWORKS PDM products.
  • Any additional duties / tasks as required by your Line Manager.
  • Physical requirements of job may include sitting or standing for extended period; walking; some lifting and carrying of objects up to 25 Kgs; typing/use of keyboard and phone; ability to travel to customer sites locally and occasional longer distance trips with overnight stay required (hence a valid Driver’s license would be a major asset).
Your Experience / Skills
  • You will possess a higher level qualification, or be able to demonstrate suitable previous experience, in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical field.
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, supporting or training SOLIDWORKS PDM is preferred, although similar experience working with other PDM / PLM packages would also be of interest, as training will be provided.
  • You will have knowledge and previous experience working with Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems. Additional experience or qualifications using Microsoft SQL Server and/or Windows Networking services, although not mandatory, would be of additional benefit.
  • You will possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written and be a good listener.
