An experienced Solidworks - Design Engineer required to join a successful manufacturing company, based in Historic town of Helston, South Cornwall.

The company is Iso 9001 Exe2 certified, allowing the most prestigious of projects to be designed, built and installed.
Design Engineers will report to the Design Manager, and will be trained to manage a range of exciting projects from concept to completion. They will work within the main manufacturing site to aid the sale and design process, through to fabrication for hand over onto installation teams.
Attention to detail, and project management skills are key, whilst ensuring their designs are meeting client and project expectations within industry compliance.
The successful candidate will be a professional CAD operative in Solidworks 2020 working in small articulate a team of 4-6 CAD technicians, with some 2D Autocad duties. As such high level CAD experience with these systems is essential, including Weldments, Smart modelling Fabrication Metal & Joinery detailing skills.
The Role:
- CAD Staircase drawings and detailed fabrication packs in Solidworks 2020 according to company standards, information supplied from Client and Site surveys.
- Client facing role, Must be fluent in English, comfortable in all project communications using Teams, Email and Telephone.
- Work with both internal suppliers and external customers in order to produce designs that satisfy all areas within guidance set by Sales specifications & Company standards
- Willing to undertake training to work within Industry regulatory requirements for Iso 9001 Exe 2 and BS design standards.

Essential Knowledge Requirements:
- Solidworks 3 years Minimum: (v2020) ( Similar packages considered on application).
- AutoCad 2 years Minimum: Only used for CNC Dxf outputs & Site/Client survey data.
- Experienced 3d CAD Detailer ( Metalwork or Joinery )
- Must have a meticulous, disciplined approach and work to a high level of accuracy.
Desirable:
- Fabrication knowledge ( Metal / Joinery )
- Measured Site Survey experience, is beneficial, but not essential.
- Experience working with third party contractors and support services
- Familiar with working in larger project teams and maintaining ownership of designs beyond sign-off stage to ensure continuity and consistency of design principles.
