W H Bence are a specialist manufacturer of transportable solutions for the Medical, Emergency Services and Hospitality sectors. We design and build mobile units for the NHS and Private Healthcare providers such as Breast Screening Clinics, MRI and CT units, we also build mobile Command Centres, Fire Appliances and Incident Welfare Centres for the Emergency Services as well as Hospitality Suites, Race Car Transporters and bespoke mobile projects for Corporate and Private Clients.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to join our team.W H Bence is a small to medium sized family run business, friendly but busy. As part of a small team, you will be expected to take a flexible approach to ensure a smooth running of the department.
We have built hundreds of vehicles including many for medical use and the emergency services so we have a large archive of existing drawings which can be used for reference. The successful applicant will be working with the current team, reporting to the Head of Design, to design and develop existing and new products. A sound knowledge of mechanical engineering will be required and an engineering degree would be advantageous.
To be considered for this role you must have 5 years’ work experience in a similar field and have experience of:
- Microsoft Office (inc. Excel and Publisher)
- Solidworks (3D Design)
- Draftsite
- AutoCAD
- Mechanical engineering
- Vehicle construction
